The FirePro® system is suited to a wide range of Fire risk, Types A, B, C & F, as defined by EN2.

It is the only fire suppression agent, apart from water, that will suppress a Lithium Ion based fire.

It is the only condensed aerosol to have LPCB approval.

Co²

Natural + Clean

The rapid expansion of this gaseous agent allows fires to be targetted even in the most inaccessible areas of the risk

It is generally specified in locations where people will not be working, since it is hazardous to humans in the concentrations deployed by fire suppression systems.

Inert Gases

Natural + Clean

Wide flexibility in selecting storage area, as cylinders can be stored at some distance away from protected area.

Suitable for low temperature applications and rooms that are hard to seal (open spaces e.g. museums, labs).

Novec™ 1230

Chemical

By far the largest safety margin for total flooding in occupied spaces of any clean agent currently available.

Colourless, electrically non-conductive and noncorrosive and effective on Class A, Class B and electrical fires

Fast firefighting by reaching extinguishing concentrations in less than ten seconds.

FM-200™

Chemical

FM-200™ systems are becomming phased out.

IPH Fire Solutions, continue to offer installation and servicing of FM-200.

However, where appropriate to do so, we will also introduce the benefits of other suitable alternatives.

Water Mist

Natural

A water mist system uses very fine water droplets to allow the water mist to control, suppress or extinguish fires by cooling both the flame and surrounding gases by evaporation while also displacing oxygen by evaporation.

IPH are dedicated to offering developers, architects and property owners a compliant, discreet and modern water mist system for the home.

IPH Recommend

PAFSS KitchenGuard® utilises a sophisticated wet chemical agent. This extinguishing medium is more than 99% biodegradable and is therefore not a hazardous waste.

It can also be used as a cleaning agent, since it has excellent cleaning and fat-dissolving properties. This agent uses an extinguishing mechanism called saponification. Saponification helps to turn cooking fat into a soapy substance, smothering/cooling the fire and preventing re-ignition.

Aerosol Fire Suppression Systems

FirePro

FirePro Fire Suppression systems contain the latest generation of FPC Compound, consisting mostly of Potassium salts with non-pyrotechnic materials. When activated, the FPC converts into a fast expanding, highly efficient and effective fire suppression condensed aerosol that is distributed evenly in the protected enclosure, using the momentum developed in the transformation process.

In comparison to the traditional fire extinguishing methods (gaseous or fire sprinkler systems), the fire is extinguished predominately by intruding the chemical chain reactions in the flame as per the tetrahedron of fire, without draining oxygen. Additionally, FirePro is compatible with conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.

FirePro Condensed Aerosol Systems are used as a substitute for traditional gaseous type agents or in applications where pressurised storage systems were not viable or economically practical.

Advantages of FirePro are that there is no storage space of Cylinder Banks required, no pressure test required for components over the system lifetime and it has a lifespan of up to 15 years and is environmentally safe.

Suitable for use in environments with an ambient temperature range of -54°c to +100°c

Suitable applications include Electrical Cabinets, Control Rooms, Transformer Rooms, Power Generator Rooms, Archives / Storage, Plant Rooms, Port Cranes, Marine applications, Renewable Energy, Storage Facilities, Cable Risers and Ducts.

Natural Fire Suppression Systems

Carbon Dioxide – Co²

CO2 is colourless and odourless and after extinguishing a fire it vaporises fully, leaving no residue. With non-conductive properties, it can be used on energised electrical equipment and safely used to protect delicate electronic equipment, electrical hazards, antiquities or archive materials. It is generally specified in locations where people will not be working since it is hazardous to humans in the concentrations deployed by fire suppression systems.

Carbon Dioxide is a standard commercial product with many other uses and is readily available throughout the world. Because of its universal use, it can be obtained inexpensively – this is an important consideration when frequent recharging of storage containers is necessary such as in local application systems, where fires may occur frequently.

Total Flooding
Total flooding systems extinguish fires by rapidly discharging CO2 into an enclosed area to create an atmosphere that is incapable of supporting combustion. This concentration of CO2 presents a serious hazard to personnel and under no circumstances should the gas be released into areas that might be manned at the time of discharge.

Local Application
This method of system is designed to protect hazards that are open or only have partial enclosure, located within a larger area that would be unsafe or uneconomic to protect using a total flood system – discharge nozzles are placed to provide direct agent flow at the points and areas prone to fire.

Inert Gases

Argonite (IG-55) Nitrogen (IG100) Argon (IG-541

IG-55 (Argonite) is an inert gas comprising of 50% Argon & 50% Nitrogen, it is naturally present in the atmosphere, hence its greenhouse effect is nil, and its ozone layer depletion potential is zero. IG-55 Fire Suppression systems are based on the certainty of reducing the oxygen concentration inside the protected hazard. Each system is designed to decrease oxygen at specific levels – when discharged, it is quickly and consistently distributed within the enclosure, reaching design concentration in 60 seconds. IG-55 is chemically inert, non-conductive, colourless & odourless, it is too non-corrosive and may be used at normal temperatures with such materials as nickel, steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, bronze and plastics. Suitable applications are DATA Centres, Comms Rooms, Telecommunication facilities, UPS Rooms and Medical facilities.

IG-541 is one of the most popular Fire Protection agents, comprising of 52% Nitrogen, 40% Argon & 8% Co2 which is too naturally present in the atmosphere, having no effect on the ozone layer and zero greenhouse effect. This Suppression system reduces the oxygen concentration inside the protected hazard – this is minimised by the application of IG-541 until it reaches a level where combustion is no longer supported, and like the other Inert Gases, it is quickly distributed within the enclosure when discharged. IG-541 is stored in high-pressure cylinders in the form of compressed gas, thus space required for such cylinder storage depends on pressure and capacity.

IG-541 is safe for use in occupied areas and excellent visibility is maintained during discharge. Ideal for the protection of archives, museums, libraries and any other hazard including valuable or unique property. Likewise, it is suitable for the protection of computer rooms, telephone exchange equipment and any other electrical installation that may present a fire hazard.

Nitrogen (IG-100) is a clean fire extinguishing agent consisting of 100% Nitrogen and is used in total flooding systems. Like both the other Inert Gases, it is environmentally friendly and has zero effect on the ozone layer. Nitrogen (IG-100) suppression systems are based on the principle of reducing the oxygen concentration inside the protected hazard. The oxygen concentration is minimized by the application of Nitrogen (IG-100) until it reaches a level where combustion is no longer supported. Each system is designed so as to decrease oxygen to a specific level. When discharged, Nitrogen (IG-100) is quickly and uniformly distributed within the enclosure, achieving design concentration in 60 seconds. Typical Applications, Clean Rooms, Computer Suites, Operation Rooms, Control Rooms, Substations, Generators.

FM-200™ Fire Suppression

FM-200™ extinguishes fires through a combination of chemical and physical mechanisms. A typical design concentration of 7% v/v provides the required amount of gas to extinguish the flame.

FM-200™ systems are a trusted choice for waterless fire protection. Applications range from computer and electronic suites to military vehicles. From the largest Fortune 500 companies to small art museums: all rely on FM-200™ systems for fast, effective, and safe fire protection. If your application is an ordinary combustible, electrical, or flammable liquid fire, then a FM-200™ system is most likely right for you.

FM-200™ is stored as a liquid in pressurized cylinders. When discharged, the liquid flows through a piping network into the protected area, where it vaporizes. The amount of gas delivered from each nozzle is carefully calculated to deliver the proper amount of FM-200™ to each protected area.

Exhaustive testing has been conducted to assess the safety of FM-200™, giving it the most comprehensive toxicity database of any clean agent. In fact, FM-200™ is so safe that it is used as a propellant in pharmaceutical inhalers that dispense asthma medications. FM-200™ is a single, pure compound; there is no active ingredient in FM-200™.

FM200 is more cost-effective when the maintenance and disposal costs are left out of the equation. It is expected the price of FM200 will continue to raise adding potential additional cost for recharging or service exchange.

The disposal of FM200 can only be carried out by licenced companies. All this additional licencing puts additional responsibilities and expense on the end user, who are often not aware of their responsibilities around this gas.

Any Engineer working on an FM200 Fire Suppression system, even for maintenance purposes, must be trained and certified in working with F-Gases.
